Performs the primary functions of a registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients on the unit during his/her shift. Responsible for meeting the established standards of Nursing Practice, for managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment of unit, and for promoting team work with the physician and personnel of other departments.
Required: Graduate of an accredited School Of Nursing and currently licensed in the State of Massachusetts. Desired: BSN, ACLS, and Certification in Specialty Area.
Desired: Minimum two year Med/Surgical nursing in an inpatient.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand and walk independently for 8-12 hours. Must have gross motor function of both hands and feet. Must have precise motor function of both hands. Must be able to reach, bend, lift, carry, push and pull on third of the time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs or less unassisted and 51 more lbs assisted. Must be sighted to distinguish colors.
